Analysis: Starter Mike Iupati missed the past three games with a left knee injury and left tackle Joe Staley has been bothered by an ankle problem. Seymour was surprised by a Monday morning telephone call from his agent, saying he was on his way back to San Francisco.

Analysis: Seymour is the first of four seventh round selections for the Seahawks. Seattle needed to add some depth along their offensive line during the draft but elected to address other positions through the first six rounds. Seymour started 35 games at Vanderbilt during his career and took snaps at every position last season.
