(TSX / STATS) -- CORVALLIS, Ore. -- Considering Oregon State may have added a starting quarterback, bolstered the offensive line depth with five signees and greatly improved the talent in the secondary, there still seems to be no question it's likely to be wide receivers who make the biggest and most immediate impact in this recruiting class of 25, including five prospects already on campus.

Oregon State's four receivers in this class are headed up by four-star recruit Isaiah Hodgins, who is already enrolled along with classmate Kolby Taylor. They're likely to benefit significantly from being on hand for spring drills, where the Beavers will be seeking to find a replacement for the graduated Victor Bolden, and augment the only two returning wideouts who had more than 20 receptions in 2016 in an attempt to revive the moribund passing attack.

Hodgins, kept away from the likes of Oregon and Nebraska, was an example of a more aggressive approach to recruiting top prospects by the Beavers, who often have lived on unsung recruits they astutely projected as future contributors.
